  • Experience with application APIs for configuration and AWS native security services including SecurityHub, GuardDuty, and Inspector.
  • Demonstrated understanding of secure software supply chain mechanics, including package repositories, artifact management, and proxies.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53 and NIST 800-82 compliance.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and capable of obtaining a DoD NIPR network account and Common Access Card.

  • Must have, or be able to obtain, a DoD Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Translate defined compliance baselines into automated configuration management playbooks to standardize and secure enterprise tooling.

  • Implement and harden automated security groups, network policies, and cloud infrastructure to securely segment data flows following Zero Trust principles.
  • Deploy and maintain secure package management proxies and local repositories to safeguard infrastructure pipelines and the software supply chain.
  • Write reusable infrastructure code, configuration scripts, and API integrations for a secure-by-default platform architecture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and security teams to embed security tools into core pipelines and resolve deployment bottlenecks.
  • Evaluate the architecture of existing security tool deployments and support remediation of active security concerns.
  • Architect, validate, and deploy platform and security infrastructure updates designed to strengthen resilience and security.
  • Assume technical responsibility for one or more specific subsystems and collaborate on strategic roadmap execution for a highly secure, scalable platform environment.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior experience working within the Department of Defense, Air Force, Space Force, or fast-paced federal contractor or dual-use startup environments.
  • Relevant technical certifications such as AWS Certified Security—Specialty, GIAC GICSP, GIAC GRID, or CISSP.
  • Experience with Operational Technology, ICS/SCADA environments, and OT/CS security tooling such as Nozomi.
  • Experience automating DISA STIG and NIST 800-53 frameworks.
  • Familiarity with the Department of Defense Zero Trust strategy.
  • Residence in the Denver, Colorado metropolitan area.

SimpleSense provides a cybersecurity and data integration platform for critical infrastructure, especially defense and public safety. Its Installation Resilience Platform applies zero-trust security to OT/CS networks, using segmentation, encryption, and continuous monitoring from edge to cloud, while fusing data from disparate sensors to give real-time situational awareness. The product suite includes InterConnect for data integration, IncidentLink for emergency data feeds, and DefenseAssure for breach simulation, and it pairs deployment with managed security services and field support to speed authorizations and operations on military and public safety networks.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • January 14, 2026 STRATFI funding added $15 million for AI fault detection.
  • July 2, 2026 Tyndall Phase 3 awarded SimpleSense $353,300 for IROC infrastructure.
  • August 2026 hiring shows seven engineering and product openings, signaling active deployment.

What critics are saying

  • SimpleSense still depends on Air Force contracting; one program delay crushes revenue.
  • Dragos, Claroty, Nozomi Networks, Cisco, and Siemens outspend it across OT security.
  • If STRATFI and Tyndall expansion stall in 2027, SimpleSense becomes a thin services contractor.

What makes SimpleSense unique

  • SimpleSense unifies OT, security, and facilities data without replacing installed equipment.
  • In 2026, its ATO-backed platform spans Tyndall and three service branches.
  • It won Air Force first operational cloud-connected OT ATO, a rare procurement edge.
