About the Company

Grace Cottage Hospital

Non-profit critical-access hospital and rural clinic

Grace Cottage Family Health & Hospital is a small, independent, non-profit rural hospital and clinic in Townshend, Vermont that provides acute, rehabilitative, and palliative care, along with primary and specialty services. Inpatient care happens in a 19-bed facility with a 24/7 emergency department, plus outpatient services in a clinic, including imaging, lab, and rehab therapies, and on-site Messenger Valley Pharmacy. It differs from many providers by being a single, community-owned facility that combines hospital and clinic services with a full range of allied health care and its own retail pharmacy. Its goal is to deliver comprehensive, locally accessible medical care to the rural community and sustain essential health services as a critical access facility.
