About the job

Requirements
  • At least 6 years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, demand generation, growth, or go-to-market roles, including at least 2 years leading a marketing function or team, ideally at an early-stage company.
  • Experience building a marketing function from zero rather than only inheriting one.
  • Experience owning a marketing-sourced pipeline target and being accountable for revenue outcomes.
  • Experience building and leading a team, hiring marketers, managing agencies, and determining when to hire employees versus engage contractors or agencies, while remaining hands-on.
  • Willingness to participate in customer calls, listen to losses, and speak directly with estimators.
  • Ability to write for commercial construction practitioners; the hiring process includes a writing exercise based on raw CEO audio.
  • Experience executing account-based marketing programs across 1:1, 1:few, and 1:many approaches with an SDR team, adjusting programs during execution, evaluating intent data, and improving attribution.
  • Experience with event-led pipeline operations, including pre-event outreach, dinners, booth planning, and post-event handoff to sales.
  • Ability to produce sales enablement materials on request, including one-pagers and case studies, and to support the deal team.
  • Habit of reviewing closed-lost reasons and applying those insights to positioning.
Responsibilities
  • Set Rebar’s marketing strategy, annual plan, and budget in alignment with pipeline and revenue targets.
  • Own the marketing-sourced pipeline target and report performance to the CEO, leadership team, and board.
  • Build and scale demand generation across paid acquisition, lifecycle, outbound campaigns, partnerships, events, and growth experiments.
  • Run performance marketing on channels such as LinkedIn and Google Ads, including audience strategy, creative, landing pages, and attribution.
  • Improve funnel conversion through messaging, targeting, experimentation, and optimization.
  • Hire and develop the marketing team as the company scales; decide when to hire full-time employees versus use contractors or agencies, and manage partners across paid marketing, design, video, and content.
  • Establish Rebar as a defining voice of AI in pre-construction and commercial construction supply.
  • Own Rebar’s organic and paid LinkedIn presence and publish customer stories, product launches, podcast clips, executive points of view, and industry commentary.
  • Build a scalable content engine spanning thought leadership, product marketing, newsletters, webinars, sales enablement, and educational content for suppliers, estimators, contractors, and operators.
  • Translate customer pain points, workflows, and product capabilities into clear messaging for commercial construction teams.
  • Partner with the CEO on a founder-led content program through interviews, raw audio, draft reviews, and podcast appearances.
  • Build and scale the customer story and testimonial process, from sourcing and interviews through approvals, publishing, and distribution in multiple formats.
  • Create marketing assets for brand building and pipeline generation, including case studies, one-pagers, decks, launch materials, demo collateral, and sales enablement content.
  • Launch and scale webinar and podcast initiatives in live and on-demand formats.
  • Select conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, and industry partnerships based on the ideal customer profile, and own event budget and return on investment.
  • Enable strategic partners with co-branded campaigns, collateral, and partner toolkits.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Leadership on go-to-market strategy, product launches, roadmap communication, and market positioning.
  • Conduct a weekly pipeline review with the Head of Sales, maintain a shared dashboard for marketing-sourced versus influenced pipeline, and jointly own the named account list.
  • Own marketing metrics, including attribution, pipeline influence, customer acquisition cost efficiency, and funnel conversion.
  • Run rapid experiments across channels, messaging, creative, and targeting, then scale effective approaches.

Rebar Closes $14M Series A Led by Prudence to Rapidly Scale its AI Platform for HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing Industries

Rebar closes $14M Series A led by Prudence to rapidly scale its AI platform for HVAC, Electrical and Plumbing industries. Less than a year into commercialization, the company is working with multiple large enterprise customers across thousands of projects per month NEW YORK-(BUSINESS WIRE)-Rebar, a vertical AI platform building the core operating system for the HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing industries, announced the closing of a $14 million Series A financing. The round was led by Prudence, an early-stage venture firm investing in vertical AI companies leading the global transformation of the built world, with participation from Zero Infinity Partners, Founder Collective, Villain Capital and Optimist Ventures. Rebar's proprietary vertical AI platform automates the processing of construction documents such as blueprints and spec books, extracting tens of thousands of data points from every new project. The company is leveraging this technology to automate the estimating and quoting process, fundamentally changing the ability for its customers - starting with HVAC contractors and distributors - to deliver quotes quickly and accurately. A process that has typically taken hours or even days can now be completed in minutes with greater levels of accuracy. "I spent years completing estimates by hand and have a deep understanding of this process that industry participants deal with every day," said Evan Brown, CEO of Rebar. "This is a pain point that previously seemed unsolvable with legacy technology, but leveraging our proprietary AI platform, contractors and distributors can spend less time buried in back-office work and more time with customers, winning new business." Quoting is one of the most critical workflows in construction, yet it remains highly tedious and manual. Historically, stakeholders have had to manually review large sets of architectural plans, in some cases amounting to hundreds of pages, in order to generate a quote for each job. Legacy technologies have been nothing more than a digital replication of the pen-and-paper process. Using Rebar, contractors and distributors are delivering more bids at a lower cost, leading to higher win rates and increased revenue. "HVAC, electrical and plumbing are massive end markets that have historically had very little purpose-built technology and rely mainly on manual processes," said Jordan Viniar, General Partner at Prudence. "By leveraging Rebar's proprietary AI platform, these businesses are leapfrogging software and adopting a solution that is orchestrating and automating end-to-end workflows. This is orders of magnitude better than anything this end market has seen before and is both a cost saver and revenue generator. The Rebar team is perfectly positioned to capitalize on this opportunity with their mix of industry expertise and deep technical capabilities." The funding will further fuel the expansion of Rebar's operating system, allowing the company to build additional agentic solutions solving pain points for more workflows and additional stakeholders across the HVAC value chain. The company is also planning to expand its product into adjacent verticals, such as electrical and plumbing, and to additional geographies both in the U.S. and internationally. About Rebar Rebar has developed the AI operating system for the HVAC industry, leveraging their proprietary models to automate the estimating and quoting process for contractors and distributors. Customers can quote jobs in minutes instead of hours or even days, allowing them to submit more bids at a lower cost and win more business. For more information visit www.withrebar.ai.
