School Construction Authority acquires sites for three schools in Long Island City. The School Construction Authority announced it has acquired 5-46 46th Ave. from Plaxall, with a 600-seat school set to be built on the site following the demolition of the existing building. The New York City School Construction Authority (SCA) has acquired sites for three new schools in Long Island City in the first major development of the OneLIC Neighborhood Plan.
