  • A strong track record of building and shipping 0-to-1 products through a startup, new product line, or major greenfield initiative.
  • Ability to work as a true full-stack engineer across front-end and backend development.
  • Strong product sense, including the ability to reason about user workflows, trade-offs, and priorities without complete specifications.
  • Design intuition and the ability to implement clean user interfaces with attention to detail.
  • A systems mindset focused on making software fast, reliable, and maintainable as usage grows.
Responsibilities
  • Build 0-to-1 product features end-to-end, including discovery, technical design, implementation, launch, and iteration.

  • Collaborate with founders and teammates to turn ambiguous problems into clear execution.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience scaling products and systems through inflection points, such as tenfold traffic growth, new customer segments, or increased pricing and billing complexity.
  • Experience with artificial intelligence-powered products, including large language models, agentic systems, evaluation and observability, and prompt or tooling pipelines.
  • Prior experience as an early engineer or founder in a high-ownership environment.
  • Experience in the web and marketing space.

About the company

Ploy is an AI-native marketing platform that combines three engines to automate and optimize marketing across websites, growth, and ads. Ploy Web builds AI-powered websites, optimizes for search and user experience, and runs A/B tests. Ploy Grow identifies visitors, performs automated outreach, and scores leads to help convert them. Ploy Ads generates ad creatives and provides full-funnel attribution to track impact from impression to conversion. The platform continuously monitors competitor sites, runs experiments, and automatically deploys content, all from a single system. What sets Ploy apart is its integrated trio of tools built around AI, its founder’s background from Webflow, and its access through YC (P26) in a waitlist/pre-launch phase. The goal is to give marketers a unified, automated way to build, attract, and convert customers at scale without heavy manual intervention.

  • Early customers Hex, Clay, Tonik, and TNT Growth validate enterprise and agency demand.
  • Ploy opened hiring in San Francisco and New York, signaling post-launch expansion.

What critics are saying

  • Webflow, HubSpot, Framer, 6sense, and Clearbit already attack each Ploy module.
  • Ploy’s free tier and young product make retention and monetization fragile in 2026.
  • If Webflow or HubSpot bundles Ploy’s features, Ploy becomes a feature, not a company.

What makes Ploy unique

  • Bryant Chou brings Webflow’s growth playbook and 12 years of website infrastructure experience.
  • Ploy unifies website building, visitor identification, and ad attribution inside one system.
  • YC says over 13% of P26 companies use Ploy for automated revenue.

Ex-Webflow CTO raises $27M for Ploy - The AI platform that runs your entire marketing stack.

Ex-Webflow CTO raises $27M for Ploy - The AI platform that runs your entire marketing stack. TL;DR: Ploy, an AI marketing platform founded by former Webflow CTO Bryant Chou, launched from stealth with $27 million in seed funding led by First Round Capital and Y Combinator. The Ploy AI marketing platform operates a company's entire website and marketing system autonomously - designing pages, writing copy, running campaigns, and syncing data back to the CRM without manual intervention. Table of Contents * Ploy raised $27M in seed funding led by First Round Capital and Y Combinator, officially launching from stealth on June 17, 2026. * Founded by Bryant Chou, co-founder and former CTO of Webflow, who spent 12 years building the platform now powering over 1% of the most active websites on the internet. * The platform runs three integrated modules continuously: Ploy Web (builds and optimizes pages), Ploy Grow (identifies prospects and executes outreach), and Ploy Ads (creates campaigns and tracks performance) - all syncing back to the CRM automatically. * Early customers include Hex, Clay, and agency TNT Growth, which uses Ploy to run sites across more than 50 clients. Over 13% of the current Y Combinator batch runs on Ploy. * Angel investors include Eoghan McCabe (Intercom co-founder), Sherwin Wu (OpenAI engineering leader), and Lenny Rachitsky. San Francisco-based Ploy officially exited stealth on June 17 with $27 million in seed funding. Bryant Chou, who co-founded Webflow and built its marketing and go-to-market teams during its fastest growth years, is now applying that playbook to an AI platform that runs a company's entire growth operation continuously in the background. According to Ploy's launch announcement via PR Newswire, the platform handles everything from landing page design to outbound campaign execution and CRM data sync without manual input. Three modules cover the full loop: Ploy Web builds and optimizes, Ploy Grow identifies high-intent prospects and executes outreach, Ploy Ads creates assets and tracks performance from impression to close. Customers like Hex are generating on-brand ABM pages at enterprise scale, while Clay powers full programmatic SEO builds across hundreds of pages - work that previously required dedicated engineering and design teams. "Over the last few years, growth teams have spent more time measuring than doing," said Chou. "Ploy closes the gap between having an idea and seeing it live." Why the Ploy AI marketing platform is a wake-up call for small business owners. According to Salesforce's State of Marketing Report, marketing teams now manage an average of 12 separate tools - and most spend more time on coordination overhead than on customer acquisition. Ploy eliminates that stack, giving lean teams the output of a full-scale growth operation. Chou put it directly at launch: "That cross-functional coordination is where good ideas go to die slowly." The platform is now generally available at ploy.ai. Start building your ai-powered growth engine today. Ploy's $27M launch signals that the era of fragmented marketing stacks is ending. AI platforms operating your website, CRM, and campaigns as a single unified system are here now.
