Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain, construction management, engineering, business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least seven years of experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, and/or contract negotiation.
  • Experience and knowledge in the required commodity.
  • Ability to influence, lead, and manage others.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a multi-year commodity procurement strategy supporting the renewable energy project pipeline.
  • Identify and engage internal stakeholders across the business to capture category requirements.
  • Develop, document, and execute category sourcing strategies using best-cost approaches informed by market intelligence, financial trends, and global economic factors.
  • Monitor market technology trends, policy developments, and regulatory changes and adjust procurement strategies accordingly.
  • Incorporate market intelligence, analytics, and supplier insights into procurement and contracting strategies.
  • Develop and maintain should-cost models to identify cost drivers and sourcing opportunities.
  • Forecast material demand and build capacity models to drive strategies and actions.
  • Define negotiation strategies, including supplier profiles, commercial negotiation targets, switching costs, and total cost of ownership.
  • Evaluate and segment suppliers based on capabilities, capacity, quality, safety, material sources, and strategic value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve pricing, quality, delivery, and product-condition issues while mitigating supply-chain risks.
  • Lead supplier relationship management for the commodity, including establishing vendor scorecards, improving performance, and conducting quarterly business reviews with key suppliers or partners.
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams and suppliers to optimize specifications and solutions.
  • Support project management during early-stage project development and late-stage execution.
  • Develop review guidelines for key vendors covering review cadence, locations, spend, forecasting, facility visits, quality visits, and trade-show meetings.
  • Lead and support contract negotiations covering scope, pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and change management.
  • Lead negotiations of Master Vendor Agreements and project-specific commercial terms while coordinating with legal, finance, permitting, and insurance teams.
  • Apply contracting and commercial skills, including scope development, contract editing, and monitoring commercial changes from award through delivery.
  • Lead and manage sourcing activities, including Request for Proposal reviews, primary bid requests, supplier quoting, and evaluation of bids, proposals, and supplier capabilities.
  • Coordinate with estimating, engineering, legal, and construction teams on supply matters.
  • Ensure procurement agreements meet objectives related to safety, cost, schedule, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Provide procurement market insights and subject-matter expertise to estimating, project management, and internal teams for budgeting, pricing validation, and strategic decisions.
  • Support project procurement from estimate through execution, validate budgets against supplier pricing, and ensure sourcing strategies align with project needs.
  • Track and log vendor notices regarding project impacts, including tariff changes, force majeure events, and supply-chain disruptions.
  • Analyze procurement data and supplier-performance metrics to support company KPIs and continuously improve category-management processes.
  • Supervise and mentor Buyers, as applicable, to align with negotiated contracts, material strategies, and supplier commitments.
  • Lead, coach, and train Buyers and procurement personnel while fostering knowledge sharing and process improvement.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience within construction industries.
  • Supply Chain Certification such as Certified Supply Chain Professional, Certified Supply Chain Manager, or Certified Purchasing Professional, or demonstrated equivalent experience.

MasTec has priced a public offering of $650 million in senior notes due 2036. The notes will carry a 5.850% interest rate, payable semi-annually, and were priced at 99.656%. They will mature on 30 September 2036. The company intends to use the net proceeds primarily to repay some or all of its $600 million term loan, which matures on 26 June 2028, and to cover related fees and expenses. Any remaining proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, potentially including repayment of existing debt under its senior unsecured credit facility. The offering is expected to close on 17 August 2026, subject to customary closing conditions. PNC Capital Markets, Truist Securities, Wells Fargo Securities, BofA Securities and J.P. Morgan Securities are serving as joint book-running managers.
