Requirements

  • Ability to perform advanced passenger and light truck maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving abstract.
  • Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities
  • Interact with Service Advisors to obtain work orders and customer-specific service requirements.
  • Inspect motors while in operation, road-test motor vehicles, and test automotive systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose issues.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
  • Evaluate and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer performance specifications.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance services, including oil changes, lubrication, and tune-ups.
  • Communicate with customers about work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements.
  • Inspect and test mechanical units, including engines, transmissions, axles, and brake systems, to locate faults and malfunctions.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and confirm findings with a supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace the unit.
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components using hand and power tools.
  • Complete detailed inspection reports documenting problems and work performed.
