IT Hardware Intern
About the job
- Basic knowledge of PC and other IT devices’ hardware, software, and connectivity, including Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Ability to analyze, diagnose, find, and fix problems.
- Fair spoken and written English.
- Ability to work overtime when requested.
- Register and track devices borrowed by production teams, ensuring borrowers maintain and return devices according to company regulations.
- Examine cellphone units, observe their operation, install testing programs, and test and update technical specifications, specific issues, solutions, drivers, and tools in the Technical Knowledge Data Base Web Tool.
- Run hardware processes and tools, observe and optimize related processes, and raise ideas to improve their effectiveness, including Hardware Lockbox, DMT Report, and SIM Cost processes.
- Come to the company to support emergency cases when requested.
- Receive support requests directly from users, by email, or through hotlines; log tickets in the Helpdesk system and confirm receipt to users in a timely manner.
- Set up or revoke, maintain, and upgrade PCs, including hardware, software, and connectivity, for new or departing users and employees transferring from other studios.
- Analyze issues independently or with the team, propose solutions, and implement them according to ETA guidelines for common IT tasks.
- Support PCs, LAN cabling, wireless networks, printers, fax machines, scanners, photocopying machines, projectors, fixed telephones, and other IT devices.
- Escalate serious incidents to the IT supervisor or manager and management for immediate attention and decision-making.
- Support company events and other administrative tasks.
