Requirements
  • Restaurant management experience and a record of leading successful teams.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Understanding of restaurant operations, staffing, scheduling, inventory, and cost management.
  • Availability for mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the restaurant.
  • Ability to remain on their feet and move throughout the restaurant for most of the shift.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry 5–25 pounds and occasionally handle 40–50 pounds.
  • Ability to reach overhead and bend or squat to access ingredients, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ability to push, pull, and move supplies or restaurant equipment.
  • Ability to safely handle knives, thermometers, kitchen equipment, cleaning tools, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Ability to navigate stairs, doorways, ramps, elevators, and compact work areas.
  • Ability to stay focused, coordinated, and productive during busy service periods.
Responsibilities
  • Build, train, and develop a strong team of Team Members, Sous Chefs, Shift Leaders, and Kitchen Leaders.
  • Lead restaurant operations while maintaining high standards for hospitality, food quality, speed, accuracy, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Create schedules, plan staffing, and position the team to meet the needs of the restaurant.
  • Manage sales, labor, food costs, inventory, and waste to support the restaurant's financial goals.
  • Create a positive team culture, resolve guest and team concerns, and communicate restaurant performance with company leadership.

Seoulspice Expands Nationally with Invus Funding

Seoulspice, a Korean fast-casual chain, is expanding nationally with new backing from The Invus Group LLC, a $10 billion investment fund. CEO Eric Shin announced the expansion, starting with three new locations in Chicago, which he will oversee this summer. Although the funding amount is undisclosed, Invus is known for backing Cava Group. Seoulspice will not franchise and plans to keep new locations under company ownership. Invus is also seeking more fast-casual restaurants to invest in.
