The device, which took six years and 38 patents to develop, combines brushing with water flossing and features a macro-lens camera that identifies gaps between teeth within 100 milliseconds. Users reported water entering the battery compartment and devices failing within 30 seconds of use. Consumer Reports' review unit stopped working less than 24 hours after unboxing. French retailer Numerama reported the toothbrush disappeared from Dyson's French website and stores on 11 September. By 15 September, stores in the US, UK, and Singapore had also removed the product. The CameraJet originally launched in US stores on 8 September, with complaints surfacing the following day.
Jake Dyson has unveiled 10 new intelligent products at the Dyson Unveiled event in Berlin, marking a shift from purely mechanical devices to machines that incorporate artificial intelligence, vision systems and machine learning. The flagship product is the Dyson CameraJet™ toothbrush, developed over six years by 661 engineers. It combines brushing, targeted liquid flossing and mouthwash dispensing in one device. The system scans 28 live images per second and uses 16 million lines of code, trained on over 470,000 dental images to identify and target gaps between teeth. Other launches include the Robot Nurovi™ cleaning range, HushJet™ air purifiers, W1 PencilWash™ floor cleaner, Corrale Coolshine™ straightener and Airsmooth™ hairdryer. The products connect via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to the MyDyson™ app for personalised feedback and customisable settings.

Dyson reported a £440 million sales decline, with revenues falling from £6.57 billion to £6.13 billion last year. The company attributed the drop to US tariffs imposed by Donald Trump on Malaysian and Philippine imports, where Dyson manufactures products, alongside weak consumer confidence and currency fluctuations. President Trump had imposed tariffs of up to 24% on Malaysian imports, later reduced to 19%. Dyson raised US prices last year citing "global economic conditions". Despite lower revenues, operating profits increased from £520 million to £600 million following cost reductions, including cutting around 1,000 UK roles in mid-2024. Dyson has launched the Spot+Scrub Ai, its first robotic vacuum cleaner capable of both wet and dry cleaning, priced at $1,199. The device uses AI-powered vision and green illumination to detect and identify nearly 200 types of household substances and objects, performing up to 15 focused cleaning passes over stains until they are removed. The robot features a self-cleaning microfiber wet roller with a 12-point hydration system that delivers fresh heated water whilst cleaning. The roller cleans itself on every rotation and extends 1.6 inches to reach edges and skirting boards. The machine uses LiDAR and AI vision for navigation and mapping, automatically labelling rooms through the MyDyson app. Its bagless cyclonic dock hygienically empties dry debris using 10 Dyson root cyclones, with capacity for up to 100 days.
