About the job

Requirements
  • You've worked in wedding or bridal media and held an editorial role at a wedding or bridal publication, with knowledge of photographers, planners, designers, and wedding taste levels.
  • You've owned an editorial calendar and decided what gets made, not only executed someone else's list.
  • You're a strong, fast writer with a portfolio of published features, and you can hold a house voice that isn't your own.
  • You're a genuinely good interviewer, warm on the phone and sharp on the follow-up question.
  • You have real fashion knowledge and can identify a gown on sight and explain why the choice matters.
  • You've edited other people's work and made it better without flattening it.
  • You're comfortable with performance data and use it as an input, not a mandate.
  • You're fluent on Instagram as a publishing surface, not just a personal one.
  • You're organized enough to run thirty things in flight at different stages without dropping a vendor credit or a deadline.
  • You have a point of view and will argue for it.
Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain the editorial calendar for the blog, aligning it with company initiatives across marketing channels.
  • Concept stories and recurring franchises serving readers and the business, including real weddings, Dream Registries, planning advice, shopping and gift guides, trend and design coverage, vendor and designer interviews, and seasonal and cultural moments.
  • Partner with the Integrated Marketing Director to align editorial with launches, registry pushes, brand collaborations, and campaign moments while protecting the line between editorial and promotion.
  • Track traffic, engagement, affiliate, and email performance to shape future commissions and report actionable findings to the team.
  • Review inbound submissions from couples, planners, and photographers regularly while maintaining the response window.
  • Select weddings against the editorial lens, make decisions on what runs or is declined, and identify stories worth pursuing.
  • Proactively source weddings by following photographers, planners, and designers.
  • Interview couples, planners, and photographers to develop specific and detailed stories.
  • Obtain complete vendor credits and image sets, and manage permissions and delivery timelines.
  • Write wedding features in OTM's voice, including headlines in house style.
  • Select and sequence images, write captions and credits, and publish content in the CMS.
  • Translate each wedding into an Instagram feature by selecting and sequencing images, writing captions, and building the carousel; partner with the Social Media Lead on post timing and cadence.
  • Write and edit blog content including Dream Registries, planning guidance, shopping and registry-adjacent stories, gift guides, trend pieces, interviews, and brand and designer features.
  • Own SEO fundamentals for published content, including search-aware headlines and structure, internal linking, metadata, and evergreen-post refreshes.
  • Keep affiliate and product links accurate, current, and unobtrusive.
  • Support The Directory editorially through vendor profile copy, onboarding new listings, spotlights and roundups, and connections between Directory members and the weddings and stories they appear in.
  • Keep Directory listings accurate and current in collaboration with the Marketing Assistant on vendor relationships.
  • Identify opportunities for Directory coverage and blog coverage to strengthen each other.
  • Manage the Retention Contributor by setting direction, briefing and editing work, reviewing it before publication, and providing regular useful feedback.
  • Connect retention work to the editorial calendar so email and lifecycle content draw on published work.
Desired Qualifications
  • CMS experience with Shopify or WordPress.
  • Experience with affiliate and SEO tools.
  • Light photo-editing experience.
  • An existing network of planners and photographers.
  • Experience working alongside a commerce or registry business.

Over The Moon, LaPietra, and Lein kicked off New York Bridal Fashion Week at Manolo Blahnik's upper east side boutique. March 20, 2026 Click the icon to save an image to your account. On an especially auspicious March 17 - St. Patrick's Day - a cohort of New York City's brides-to-be and wedding industry insiders gathered at the Manolo Blahnik store on Madison Avenue for the fifth annual Over The Moon x Manolo Blahnik shopping soirée. The cocktail party doubled as a pre-New York Bridal Fashion Week fete and as a celebratory way to usher in the start of wedding season. Guests also previewed the exclusive new Lein for Over The Moon capsule and fine jewelry by LaPietra. The recently-launched line from former Vogue editors Jessica Sailer Van Lith and Christina Caldwell has already made its mark on the fine jewelry industry with its cultured, old mine-cut diamonds. And, of course, no look would be complete without accessorizing from tip to toe: everyone tried on Manolo heels, sandals, and flats, as well as styles from the brand's newest wedding collection for a finishing touch. Lein for Over The Moon exclusives were also available to try on and purchase; a welcome chance to secure these limited-edition, made-to-order pieces. Designed by Meredith Stoecklein, the collaboration features six looks. OTM founder and Vogue editor Alexandra Macon opted to wear her personal favorite from the collection, the Beau Crystal Lattice Dress. In the spirit of the event, a "Something Blue Bar" doubled as a gifting suite, stocked with delights from Jo Malone, Dear Sundays, Smythson, 111Skin, Chord by Mary Orton, Mrs. Box, and Monogram Mary. Ahead of the evening, renowned celebrity hairstylist Valery Joseph, alongside Meg Workman, oversaw the models' glam, with a particular nod to 111Skin as a complexion-elevating essential. Meanwhile, the boutique's bar sparkled with cocktails by Wilde Irish Gin, serving up playful signatures like the OTM Moonlit Gimlet and the Blahnik & Tonic. Guests also enjoyed organic wines from Avaline Wine, the female-founded brand that is redefining sustainable sipping.
