About the company

Logical Systems designs automation and control systems for manufacturers and industrial operators, linking production equipment with the information used to run a plant. Its engineers combine process and mechanical design with electrical engineering, so a project covers both the physical equipment and the systems that control it. The company builds control panels, configures production software and connects factory data to business systems, earning fees for engineering and integration services. It also manages procurement and construction for selected projects, giving customers a single contractor for the work. Logical Systems was founded in 1985 and is headquartered in Memphis, Tennessee.

What believers are saying

  • Golden field engineers have disclosed pay: LSI lists $75,000-$110,000 annually, with overtime available.
  • LSI describes itself as debt-free in its employer profile.
  • Partner access deepened in November 2025: LSI received Rockwell Automation's highest, invitation-only Platinum integrator status.

What critics are saying

  • Client service disrupts schedules: Golden's field engineer role requires extensive travel and rotating after-hours telephone support.
  • Cybersecurity work is geographically constrained: LSI requires engineers to commute to a regional office.
  • LSI's cybersecurity applicants need at least three years assessing, designing and implementing networks for industrial control systems.

What makes Logical Systems unique

  • Equipment choices stay independent: LSI is not owned by an equipment manufacturer.
  • Factory experience shapes LSI designs: many employees previously worked as plant engineers.
  • LSI has an entry route without college: Phoenix panel fabricators require a high school diploma.
