- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Must hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support.
- Weekend work is required on a rotating basis.
- On-call work is required.
- Independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines and the scope of practice defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
- Manage patient care for an assigned group of patients in accordance with the hospital's philosophy and policies.
- Practice professional nursing through collaboration, communication, coordination, integration, and empowerment.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
- Additional life support credentials, such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.
