Requirements
  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction is required.
  • At least 3 years of supervision and/or training experience, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments, is required.
  • Experience in large data center infrastructure, including technology, quality, and safety standards, is required.
  • Knowledge of general building codes, BICSI Standards, and the structured cabling industry is required.
  • PMI Certified Associate in Project Management designation is required.
  • Fiber Optic Association CPCT qualification is required.
  • Exceptional decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans, and schedules is required.
  • Ability to support Field Supervisors in leading, developing, and managing field employees is required.
  • Strong documentation and administrative skills are required.
  • Ability to learn and support new and rapidly changing technologies is required.
  • Ability to research applicable information to resolve technical issues is required.
  • Ability to work within deadlines while maintaining high work quality, prioritize, and multitask effectively is required.
  • Ability to manage construction budgets in accordance with project bids and Project Manager expectations is required.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required.
  • Ability to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs when required is required.
  • Ability to regularly carry and climb ladders to 20 feet and lift or move up to 40 pounds is required.
  • Ability to work in tight and confined spaces is required.
Responsibilities
  • Follow safe work practices and company and client worksite safety policies and procedures.
  • Promote company Core Values and safeguard the family-centric culture.
  • Assist Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians with material acquisition planning and project scheduling in conjunction with Project Managers.
  • Provide ongoing leadership, supervision, and guidance to all levels of field staff.
  • Support Field Supervisor and Lead Technician meetings and training as required to comply with industry codes, standards, and installation practices.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and the Sales Team to ensure codes, standards, and customer expectations are met on projects.
  • Work with the P6 Master Scheduler to maintain accurate budgeted resources and schedules according to bid and actual performance.
  • Conduct frequent quality site walks to verify construction activities meet the Quality Management Plan and client specifications.
  • Strategize, allocate, and lead job-site resource organization.
  • Lead by example on the job site in safety, quality, and adherence to Core Values.
  • Develop and enhance data center technical training, standard operating procedures, and work instructions to ensure compliance with the Quality Plan, industry standards, and client specifications.
  • Collaborate with the project team to define methods that improve project efficiency and profitability.
  • Create the framework for developing project metrics and manage data collection.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site in alignment with corporate strategic goals.
  • Travel as required, with minimal overnight travel generally expected.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as identified and assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a similar field is preferred.
  • Structured cabling experience is preferred.
  • BICSI Certified Technician certification is preferred.
