Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in academic or office administration, including grant budget development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is required.
  • Experience managing creative teams is required.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Ability to interact with distinguished visitors, faculty, and students is required.
  • Proven ability to direct and implement a variety of operations and activities, communicate policies and procedures to individuals at all levels, and use problem solving is required.

  • Extensive knowledge of games and the game industry is required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and administer strategic programs, grants, partnerships, and academic partnerships for the NYU Game Center in support of the department’s academic, professional development, and public-facing goals.
  • Manage the operational and reporting functions associated with the Center of Excellence in Digital Game Development, industry-related grants and scholarships, NASAD and Princeton Review reporting, and other sponsored initiatives.
  • Provide oversight of the department’s grant portfolio, including grant renewals, reporting requirements, and financial activity, and ensure compliance with sponsor and University requirements.
  • Serve as the department’s liaison with the Office of Sponsored Programs, government agencies, foundation and sponsor representatives, and industry representatives to interpret requirements, resolve grant-related matters, and ensure appropriate stewardship of sponsored funds.
  • Lead and support departmental programs and outreach initiatives, including high school programming, student career development activities, internship administration, incubator support, public events, and communications strategy.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an academic environment and/or games industry position is preferred.

The goal is to build a durable ecosystem that accelerates discovery, entrepreneurship, and the translation of research into real-world impact through academic programs, collaborations, and a broader joint presence in New York.
