Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Willingness to learn new tools, technology, and field techniques is required.
  • Ability to follow direction and work well as part of a team is required.

  • Ability to work primarily outdoors on active construction sites and undeveloped properties, including uneven terrain, wooded areas, and varying weather conditions, is required.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with daily field survey operations on land development projects.
  • Support boundary and topographic surveys used for site planning and design.
  • Help perform construction staking for roads, utilities, buildings, and storm drainage systems.
  • Set up and operate survey equipment such as global positioning system real-time kinematic equipment, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
  • Collect and record accurate field data for use by engineers and designers.
  • Assist in locating property corners, right-of-way lines, easements, and utilities.
  • Maintain organized electronic data and field notes.
  • Help maintain and transport survey equipment safely and properly.
