Deno offers a secure runtime environment for JavaScript and TypeScript, designed to prevent unauthorized access by restricting file, network, and environment access unless explicitly allowed. It is compatible with Node.js, enabling easy integration of existing projects, and includes built-in tools for code quality, such as a linter and test runner. Deno also features a web framework called Fresh for seamless development on edge servers and a template app, SaaSKit, for building software-as-a-service applications. The company's goal is to provide a developer-friendly environment that simplifies the process of building, testing, and deploying applications securely.
