Requirements
  • DDS or Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from an accredited dental school
  • Current, active dental license in the state you are applying for
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Active DEA registration
  • Associate Dentists - minimum 2 years of post-residency clinical experience in private practice, dental service organization, or similar setting
  • Lead Dentists - extensive clinical experience (typically 6+ years post-residency) and proven ability to lead, mentor, and elevate the performance of dentists within a multi-chair practice environment
  • Invisalign certification
  • Ability to work a full-time schedule consisting of 4 days per week plus 2 Saturdays per month or a part-time schedule consisting of 2-3 days per week including some Saturdays
  • Comfort with modern technology and willingness to adopt digital workflows
  • Current active dental license required
  • The role requires ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods, manual dexterity, adequate vision, ergonomic ability, occasional lifting up to 25 pounds
Responsibilities
  • Deliver a full spectrum of high-quality clinical services including restorative care such as inlays/onlays, crowns, veneers, endodontics, extractions, implants, and cosmetic dentistry within Tend’s modern, digitally enabled studio environment
  • Treat a dynamic mix of cases that go beyond basic dentistry with opportunities to perform comprehensive, esthetic, and function-driven care
  • Lead comprehensive exams that diagnose the whole person and communicate findings clearly and efficiently to members
  • Develop thoughtful, member-centered treatment plans grounded in clinical findings and risk assessment to drive oral health outcomes and case acceptance
  • Diagnose and treat temporomandibular joint related conditions, including delivery of therapeutic Botox as part of a comprehensive care approach
  • Identify and address malocclusion, occlusal wear, fracture lines, and sleep-disordered breathing early using tested frameworks to educate members and improve outcomes
  • Drive adoption and growth of clear aligner treatment from diagnosis through bonding and follow-up care
  • Evaluate and treat sleep-disordered breathing and incorporate sleep medicine solutions where appropriate
  • Build proficiency in aligner case selection, staging, and execution and contribute to a high-performing aligner program
  • Partner with clinical leadership to expand advanced treatment offerings and elevate clinical scope
  • Manage a dynamic, productive schedule including operative procedures, hygiene checks, aligner starts, and same-day treatment opportunities
  • Collaborate with studio teams to build efficient shifts, review schedules, and plan care
  • Drive production through proactive diagnosis and comprehensive treatment planning while maintaining quality of care
  • Deliver a hospitality-driven member experience focused on personalized care, empowering communication, and human compassion
  • Hold priority framework of safety first, outstanding member experience, and efficiency
  • Mentor and coach dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants in diagnosis, treatment planning, and clinical execution
  • Lead clinical onboarding, training, and ongoing development of providers to Tend standards
  • Partner with Studio Manager to optimize scheduling, member access, and studio performance
  • Lead daily huddles and clinical calibrations focused on workflow, member care, and continuous improvement
  • Review clinical outcomes and implement solutions to improve quality and consistency of care
  • Own complex cases and member escalations using Empathy → Confidence approach and maintain thread through resolutions
  • Help build a high-performing, growth-oriented studio culture in partnership with clinical and operational leadership
