Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or commercial maintenance.
  • Supply basic construction hand tools.
  • Have OSHA 10-hour training or complete it within 3 months of employment; the employer pays for completion.
  • Have experienced knowledge of carpentry, including partition framing with metal or wood studs and installation of basic cabinetry, countertops, doors, and windows.
  • Have experienced knowledge of interior and exterior painting.
  • Have experienced knowledge of flooring installation, including VCT, LVT, tile, carpet squares, and cove base.
  • Have basic knowledge of plumbing, including replacement or installation of sinks, faucets, toilets, basic drainage, and water lines.
  • Have basic knowledge of electrical work, including replacement or installation of light fixtures, switches, and outlets, basic data connections, and diagnosis of minor electrical problems.
  • Be able to work overtime and/or on call as workload and emergency issues require.
  • Be willing to travel, including trips of up to two weeks at a time when required.
  • Be able to follow OSHA requirements.
  • Have basic computer skills.
  • Be able to communicate with customers and build relationships.
  • Document repairs in detail, including measurements, pictures, recommendations, and quotes.
Responsibilities
  • Perform commercial renovations and buildouts.
  • Travel for full-time commercial construction projects across the United States; travel is required and may last up to two weeks at a time.
  • Complete repair documentation, including measurements, pictures, recommendations, and quotes.
  • Work overtime and/or on call as workload and emergency issues dictate.
