Requirements
  • At least two years of experience in the landscaping field.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to communicate with clients in English.
  • Ability to motivate and work efficiently with small crews.
  • A strong attendance and tardiness record.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to adhere to safe driving and equipment operation policies and practices.
  • Ability to wear required protective equipment, including gloves, eye glasses, and ear protection.
Responsibilities
  • Inspect route sheets and work orders daily for additions, deletions, service changes, and client requests.
  • Prepare, load, and secure all necessary equipment.
  • Inspect the truck and trailer before leaving the yard and report issues to the Assistant Maintenance Division Manager.
  • Drive the truck and trailer safely to and from all work sites.
  • Accurately record start and stop times at each site.
  • Assign tasks to crew members at each site and complete jobs within the specified time frame.
  • Conduct a final walkthrough of each property to ensure it is left in professional, high-quality condition.
  • Fuel all equipment at the end of the day.
  • Report customer comments, complaints, and damaged or broken tools, equipment, or customer property.
  • Participate in snow removal during the winter season.
  • Speak with customers on site to determine their needs, answer questions, resolve concerns, suggest additional work, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve or route customer complaints and record them in the log book.
  • Record comments, questions, and site notes and submit them to the Assistant Maintenance Division Manager at the end of the day.
  • Motivate, lead, coach, train, supervise, and support the crew.
  • Provide ongoing performance feedback to crew members.
  • Remove trash from the truck daily.
  • Bring designated equipment into the shop for biweekly maintenance on specified days.
  • Report equipment problems and issues to the Production Manager.
  • Park the truck in the designated location.
  • Assist with keeping the yard clean and organized.
  • Attend required education classes.
  • Work with new crew members and other employees to increase their knowledge and abilities with applicable equipment.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed by supervisors.
