Requirements
  • Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
  • Hold membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association.
  • Hold FRCPC or equivalent in Hematopathology, or FRCP in General Pathology with additional training or willingness to train in Hematopathology.
Responsibilities
  • Provide medical oversight of hematopathology and transfusion medicine services for the Eastern Zone of Nova Scotia in co-leadership with Operations Managers.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the Central Zone Division of Hematopathology.
  • Interpret peripheral blood smears.
  • Participate in the Provincial Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Committees.
