Job Description

Responsibilities

• Medical oversight of hematopathology/transfusion medicine services for Eastern Zone of   Nova Scotia.  This is a co-leadership role with Operations Managers.
• Collaboration/coordination with the Central Zone Division of Hematopathology
• Interpretation of Peripheral Blood Smears
• Participation in the Provincial Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Committees

Qualifications

• All applicants must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
• FRCPC or equivalent in Hematopathology OR FRCP in General Pathology with additional Training (or willingness to train) in Hematopathology

Estimated Annual Salary: 400,000 CAD
