Requirements
  • The candidate must have 5+ years of work-related experience.
  • The candidate must be proficient in the Environmental Systems Research Institute ArcGIS suite of software.
  • The candidate must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office software.
  • The candidate must have effective oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, and potential clients.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and produce maps and other graphic representations displaying layers and attribute data from databases, using cartographic techniques to represent spatial data.
  • Maintain data layers using geographic information system tools, global positioning system units, computer-aided design tools, and relational databases.
  • Incorporate maps, charts, spreadsheet data, and text into reports.
  • Perform field work to collect or validate geographic information system data using a global positioning system unit.
  • Resolve and troubleshoot geographic-information-system-related problems.
  • Provide basic geographic information system software training for internal users.
  • Develop production schedules for smaller mapping and analysis projects.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers to align project deliverables with business objectives.
