Requirements
  • A university engineering or college technical degree from a Mechanical Engineering program is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of direct sales experience in a relevant industry is required.
  • Expertise in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning products and systems, including experience with HVAC product selection software, is required.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software is required.
  • The ability to conduct root cause analysis and provide strategic recommendations is required.
  • The ability to navigate and manage relationships within centralized and matrix organizational structures is required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills are required.
Responsibilities
  • Manage and grow sales within the assigned territory while adhering to company pricing guidelines.
  • Communicate the company's value proposition and solution-selling approach to engineers, contractors, and building owners.
  • Maintain relationships with key sales channel partners, including wholesalers, mechanical contractors, repair shops, and original equipment manufacturers.
  • Assist in establishing sales goals and objectives for the team.
  • Support special projects and initiatives assigned by management.
  • Prepare bi-weekly market activity reports and maintain the customer relationship management system.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and issue resolution.
  • Oversee customer contracts and ensure accurate contract verification and order processing.
  • Generate and analyze sales reports on a daily, quarterly, and annual basis as required by management.
  • Maintain detailed records on customers, competitors, and market trends and participate in sales planning sessions.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to provide feedback on campaigns and initiatives.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to identify opportunities for market share growth.
