About the job

Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in customer success, account management, or solutions at a software company.
  • Technical curiosity and the ability to troubleshoot issues such as single sign-on or broken calendar synchronization before escalating them.
  • Comfort working with data and learning quickly.
  • Commercial awareness, including recognizing account expansion opportunities and supporting recommendations with evidence.
  • Exceptional written communication, especially through email and Slack with senior customer stakeholders.
  • Strong organization, high agency, and the ability to manage external calls, email threads, bug queues, pilot scorecards, training sessions, and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
  • Lead enterprise onboarding, pilots, and rollouts end to end, including setup, administrator training, and team-by-team adoption efforts.
  • Conduct usage reviews with administrators and follow up with user groups that have not linked their calendars.
  • Serve as the primary contact for inbound support and agent-behavior feedback through email and Slack.
  • Manage churn by understanding the underlying reason, offering an appropriate retention path, and documenting the reason for learning.
  • Build usage and retention reporting, templates, runbooks, and the quality-assurance loop supporting the artificial-intelligence support agent.
  • Own the account activation rate and drive users to schedule at least five meetings within 90 days of account close.
  • Drive sustained usage so users maintain activation over a trailing 90-day period.
  • Convert customer-reported bugs and feature requests into prioritized input for product and engineering.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience standing up a customer success function rather than inheriting one.
  • Founding or first-customer-success-hire experience.
  • Experience with horizontal productivity tools.
  • A network in venture capital, private equity, or professional services.

It differentiates itself with dynamic, context-aware dialogue instead of static booking links and can infer priorities from email tone. Its goal is to reduce back-and-forth and secure optimal meeting times, with pricing of $1,000 per year for individuals and $5,000 per year for multi-user teams, after a 30-day free trial.

Sequoia leads $5m seed round for AI calendar startup Blockit

Sequoia leads $5m seed round for AI calendar startup Blockit. Former Sequoia partner Kais Khimji has launched an AI-powered calendar scheduling startup called Blockit, which aims to automate meeting arrangements. The company, which recently closed a US$5 million seed round led by Sequoia, plans to use large language models to handle scheduling more effectively than previous solutions. Unlike platforms like Calendly, Blockit's AI agents communicate directly between users' calendars to negotiate meeting times without human involvement. The system can be activated via email or Slack, and it learns user preferences to prioritize meetings based on tone and importance. Blockit is currently used by over 200 companies, including Brex and Rogo, and offers a free 30-day trial. How would you feel if you could no longer use Tech in Asia?
