About the job
- At least 8 years of experience as a software engineer.
- Experience working on frontend and backend parts of large-scale data platforms, including databases, data infrastructure, and machine learning or artificial intelligence systems, with experience in concurrency and multitenancy.
- Experience crafting user interfaces using TypeScript, React, Next.js, Vercel, command-line interfaces, and application programming interfaces.
- Experience building infrastructure with cloud service provider stacks, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Demonstrated ownership of ambiguous projects with minimal guidance.
- Strong written and verbal communication to drive alignment across teams.
- Comfort using data, metrics, experiments, and usage information to guide decisions.
- Experience contributing to or working with open-source communities.
- Work with the rest of engineering to optimize user and agent experience across the platform.
- Build scalable backends for LanceDB Enterprise to support user and agent experiences across billion-scale datasets.
- Drive high-level directions and deliver results for user experience and agent experience parity.
- Develop platform capabilities that provide compelling experiences for exploring and managing multimodal data and increase adoption and usage.
