Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with experienced engineers to design, develop, and test software features that optimize resource use and performance.
  • Write clean, efficient code that contributes to real-world solutions.
  • Participate in agile development cycles, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and iterative delivery.
  • Support the integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and streamlined software deployment.
  • Experiment with container technologies such as Docker to enhance development and deployment workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with container technologies such as Docker or similar tools is preferred.
  • Exposure to DevSecOps principles, including secure coding or continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines, is preferred.

MANTECH appoints Mark Roman as CTO of cyber practice. * MANTECH has chosen Mark Roman as chief technology officer of cyber practice * Roman has more than 20 years of experience, mostly in the U.S. Navy * MANTECH has been reorganizing its leadership team and appointing CTOs to different specializations In this role, Roman will oversee the technical direction, innovation strategy and delivery of cybersecurity capabilities supporting national security and federal government missions, the company said in a LinkedIn post on Friday. What are Mark Roman's professional credentials? Roman brings more than 20 years of experience in protecting military, industrial and critical infrastructure systems. He most recently served as executive director of MANTECH's cyber technologies unit. He joined MANTECH in 2021 from Gryphon Technologies, where he served as chief of cyber technologies. He also became a board member and external director of Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services. Roman held various roles in the U.S. Navy from 2003 to 2019. He was part of the carrier engineering team of cybersecurity engineering at the Naval Sea Systems Command. He later became manager of that unit. At the Philadelphia division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, he was deputy systems engineering manager and later cybersecurity solutions architect. Roman's earlier experience in the NSWC was at the Carderock division in Maryland. He started as a junior engineer and became a senior system engineer. Outside military service, Roman served as an adjunct professor at two universities. Since 2018, he has been an adjunct professor of electrical and computer engineering at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. From 2018 to 2021, he was an adjunct professor of decision and systems sciences at Saint Joseph's University in Pennsylvania. What other executive appointments has MANTECH announced in August? Prior to Roman's selection as cyber practice CTO, MANTECH has made several changes to its executive leadership this month alone. The company appointed CTOs to different specializations, including Graham Katz as CTO of data and artificial intelligence practice and Douglas Orellana as CTO and vice president of digital practice.
