About the job

Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience developing new accounts in technology professional services, custom software development, consulting, or complex business-to-business solutions.
  • Experience creating conversations and demand where there was no active demand initially.
  • Strong consultative selling skills involving long sales cycles, multiple decision-makers, undefined budgets, and tailored proposals.
  • Ability to discuss modernization, technical debt, architecture, risk, and project scoping without needing to be a developer.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Autonomy and discipline to manage a territory, maintain a rigorous pipeline, and involve the right people at the right time.
  • Ability to use artificial intelligence tools thoughtfully to improve research, preparation, follow-ups, and sales effectiveness.
  • Resourcefulness and ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment.
  • Willingness and availability to travel occasionally to meet clients as business needs require.
Responsibilities
  • Proactively develop the pipeline through targeted prospecting, networking, event participation, and referral development.
  • Qualify the business needs behind initial requests and rule out opportunities that do not align with the company's expertise.
  • Develop service proposals in collaboration with technical teams and own their final validation.
  • Represent the company with executive- and technical-level stakeholders.
  • Work with Marketing to build the sales funnel without relying solely on inbound leads.
  • Ensure a strong transition to Delivery and Account Management teams while remaining involved in growing developed accounts.
  • Advise clients on custom software development engagements from product strategy through delivery.
  • Advise organizations across manufacturing, defence, aerospace, financial services and insurance, healthtech, and technology sectors.
  • Manage complex engagements involving multiple stakeholders and consultative sales cycles lasting several months.
  • Position artificial intelligence as part of, or as an option within, the service offering.
Desired Qualifications
  • French language skills in a pan-Canadian context.
  • An active network in financial services, insurance, manufacturing, defence, or aerospace.
  • Experience in a professional services firm.
  • Knowledge of the Toronto market and its business and technology networks.
  • Strong customer relationship management discipline, particularly with HubSpot or Salesforce.
