Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in a technical, customer-facing role such as forward deployed engineering, solutions, or software engineering with substantial customer exposure.
  • Production-grade full-stack coding ability using Python and/or TypeScript, with APIs, webhooks, SQL, and data infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience building with large language models, including prompting, agents, evaluations, and AI coding tools.
  • A track record of owning a complex, ambiguous outcome end to end.
  • Executive-ready communication and low-ego collaboration with customer stakeholders.
Responsibilities
  • Embed with Sales, Customer Experience, and customers to understand their businesses, then scope, design, and ship production systems using real customer data.
  • Build agents, Model Context Protocol servers, API integrations, data pipelines, Retool applications, and integrations between messy systems.
  • Deploy and tune Monaco's agents on customers' real data by improving prompts, context, and configuration; build missing tools, integrations, or data sources when needed.
  • Build workflows, agents, integrations, or demonstrations on prospects' data to unblock deals and rescue at-risk accounts.
  • Own customer adoption beyond delivery, ensuring customer teams actually use the resulting systems.
  • Determine which custom builds should become product roadmap items, support those decisions with customer evidence, and turn repeated builds into playbooks and reusable tooling.
  • Bring field failure modes, evaluations, and requirements back to Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior forward deployed, solutions, implementation, or consulting experience.
  • Deep familiarity with go-to-market stacks, including customer relationship management systems, sequencing, enrichment, and revenue operations workflows.
  • Experience building developer-facing assets such as software development kits, reference applications, and documentation.

Monaco is an AI-native sales platform that helps startups and other businesses grow revenue by automating sales tasks. It integrates into a company’s sales workflow, uses a meeting recorder to capture call notes, drafts follow-up emails, and updates CRM by creating opportunities and filling fields. Unlike typical sales tools, Monaco combines AI-driven note-taking, email drafting, and CRM updates in one customizable system tailored to a company’s go-to-market process. Its goal is to reduce manual sales work and provide guidance to close more deals, with public beta launched in February 2026 ahead of general availability.

Ex-Founders Fund VC Sam Blond raises $35M for Monaco, an AI sales platform with human experts

Former Founders Fund VC Sam Blond has launched Monaco, an AI sales startup, raising $35 million across a $10 million seed round and $25 million Series A, both led by Founders Fund. The company emerged from stealth on Wednesday with a public beta of its AI sales platform. Co-founded with his brother Brian Blond, a partner at Human Capital, Monaco targets early-stage startups with an AI-native CRM and prospect database. The platform automates sales workflows including email outreach and meeting scheduling, but uniquely employs human salespeople to monitor and guide the AI rather than replacing them entirely. The startup faces fierce competition from incumbents like Salesforce and HubSpot, plus numerous AI-focused startups. Blond positions Monaco as the next-generation platform leader, calling it the "'Cursor for sales'".
