Some manufacturing experience in a food plant is helpful.
A high school education or equivalent, or relevant experience, is required.
Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

Ability to stand and walk continuously, use hands frequently, and perform required lifting and team lifts for loads of 50 pounds or more.
Ability to work in heat and at heights frequently, with occasional exposure to cold and dampness.
Responsibilities
Maintain a clean and safe work area while complying with all company policies, procedures, practices, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point requirements.
Complete paperwork accurately and on time, communicate changes to the next shift, and communicate oven performance during shift changes.
Interact with Process Operators to verify that products meet specifications before entering the ovens.
Conduct routine analytical quality tests and complete all required Quality and Food Safety testing and documentation.
Operate ovens, make necessary adjustments, and maintain knowledge of oven types to keep production efficient and products within specifications.
Monitor ovens and baking procedures for quality, safety, maintenance issues, scrap reduction, and downtime; resolve issues when possible and report operational or safety issues to supervision.
Communicate product specification issues to Quality and the Supervisor or Manager.
Inspect and clean each band brush for metal twice per shift when the oven is in use.
Complete and submit work orders as needed.
Assist with or oversee the training of new employees.
Perform Statistical Process Control computer data entry according to established process-control procedures and product specifications.
Notify supervision of issues and perform other assigned duties.

Operates ovens with constant attention to quality of product, scrap reduction and minimal downtime.
Communicates with oncoming Oven Tech regarding the performance of each oven at shift change.

Pay Rate Starts at $21.18 and at 1 year make $25.27 Accountability: An Oven Tech will be accountable to the Production Supervisor for fulfillment of their duties. The performance of an Oven Tech will be measured to the degree of their production levels and quality of work performed in these assigned areas.
