Milestone Systems to open flagship Experience center in Oregon. The new Lake Oswego facility will give customers and partners hands-on access to Milestone Systems' video management, analytics and cloud technologies. Related To: Aug. 19, 2026 Milestone Systems will open a new Experience & Collaboration Center at its Lake Oswego, Oregon, office on Sept. 1, giving customers and partners a hands-on environment to explore the company's video technology portfolio. The center, located just south of Portland, will showcase Milestone's XProtect video management software, BriefCam AI-powered analytics and Arcules cloud Video Security as a Service. It will also feature the company's solutions for training AI using high-quality video data. Milestone said the facility is designed to demonstrate how video technology can be used to generate insights, strengthen security and improve operations. "This space gives our customers and partners the freedom to see what's possible when you're not locked into a single vendor's roadmap," said Tim Palmquist, vice president of Americas at Milestone Systems. "Video has moved far beyond security, and the center lets people test that for themselves, on real systems, with the same responsible approach to data that guides everything we build." The company also sees the center as an opportunity to expand its presence in the Pacific Northwest. "We've done great work across the Pacific Northwest, but I don't think we've shown this region everything that we can do," said Kyle Craven, Milestone's channel business manager for the Oregon territory. "This ribbon-cutting is just the start. If you're in security, IT, or facilities anywhere in Oregon or Washington, come see what a truly open platform looks like." Milestone will hold an opening celebration and official ribbon-cutting Sept. 1 from 3 to 5 p.m. (PDT). Media, customers and partners are invited to attend. Following the opening, prospective and existing customers will be able to visit the center by appointment. For information about the opening or to schedule a future visit, Milestone said interested parties can contact Kristi Corno, Milestone sales business manager, at [email protected] Group or (503) 350-1156. Siemens updates Siveillance Video. Siemens has an update available to handle improper neutralization of special elements used in an OS command (OS command injection) vulnerability in its Siveillance Video, according to a report with CISA. Siveillance Video Management Servers contains a vulnerability, discovered by Milestone PSIRT, that could allow a remote code execution attack. Milestone Systems is a video management software provider. Siveillance Video is an open-platform IP video management software (VMS) created by Siemens. It connects cameras, storage devices, and security alarms into one central system. Organizations use it to monitor live video, investigate security events, and manage safety operations. The following versions of Siemens Siveillance Video suffer from the issue: * Siveillance Video V2023 R3 up to version 23.3.27 * Siveillance Video V2024 R1 up to version 24.1.16 * Siveillance Video V2025 up to version 25.1.15 Milestone released a new version of XProtect (and several cumulative patch updates) which fix a security vulnerability in management server API. The vulnerability causes users with edit permissions to the management server to be able to execute arbitrary code in context of the management server service. CVE-2026-3014 is the case number for the vulnerability, which has a CVSS V3 base score of 9.1. The product sees use in the critical manufacturing, communications, and commercial facilities sectors, and on a global basis. In terms of mitigations users should: * Update to V23.3 HotfixRev27 or later version * Update to V24.1 HotfixRev16 or later version * Update to V25.1 HotfixRev15 or later version As a general security measure, Siemens recommends to protect network access to devices with appropriate mechanisms. In order to operate the devices in a protected IT environment, Siemens recommends to configure the environment according to Siemens' operational guidelines for Industrial Security. Milestone Solution Summit Bengaluru: video infrastructure deserves an immune system. Vega Systems supported and presented at the Milestone Solution Summit in Bengaluru, hosted by Milestone India. Bringing partners and end customers into the same room produced exactly the kind of direct conversation this industry needs more of. Its message was a simple one: video infrastructure deserves an immune system. When a recorder fails, a site goes dark, or a migration stalls, the footage you depend on should not be the thing at risk. Vega Systems Inc. walked through the products that sit natively inside Milestone XProtect. RMF for active-active redundancy with cross-site SQL sync and media backfill. Tandem for two recorders running as one identity. SureStream for client-side streaming failover. XPort for migration and consolidation without the downtime. Nidhi for media backup and restore, taken straight from the recorder database. And because resilience should not stop at the network edge, Vega Systems Inc. showed Atlas, which carries video securely over cellular across any VMS, for sites where fixed connectivity cannot reach. Thank you to Abhinav Sharma, Mudit Jhanwar, Syed Budden Mansoor, and Bharath SG for the invitation and the seamless hosting, and to the wider Milestone Systems team for building the ecosystem that makes events like this possible. To everyone Vega Systems Inc. met on the floor: thank you for the questions, the whiteboarding, and the coffee.
