Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Law, paralegal studies, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in reviewing and managing contracts and regulatory compliance as a Paralegal in a corporate setting, ideally in a start-up and high growth environment. Experience in the automotive industry or similar hardware sector preferred.
  • Strong understanding of contract law and legal principles, with demonstrated experience in interpreting and drafting contracts.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate and securities laws and regulations, including familiarity with state, federal, and local filing and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Comfortable with managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Skilled in reviewing, drafting, and revising legal documents.
  • High proficiency in corporate software (contract management software, Netsuite, DocuSign, legal and operational databases, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts such as non-disclosure agreements, customer agreements, and supplier contracts.
  • Conduct legal research on laws, regulations, and requirements applicable to the company.
  • Support litigation tasks, regulatory inspections, and audits.
  • Identify and apply for government grants, incentives, and tax benefits applicable to the research, development, production, and sale of electric vehicles and component technologies.
  • Work closely with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely reporting of equity transactions.
  • Support patent and trademark filing processes, including preparation of documents, correspondence with the patent office, and coordination with external IP attorneys.
