Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
  • HAZWOPER certification
  • 5–10+ years of environmental compliance or remediation experience
  • Regulatory interpretation and data quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) skills
  • Ability to perform work on-site at the Hanford Field Office in Richland, Washington and to travel as required
  • Security requirements include a DOE clearance level as indicated in the task description and applicable facility clearance
Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act, and National Environmental Policy Act; conduct sampling, reporting, and regulator coordination for Hanford projects.
  • Provide program and project management support under Job Task Category 04 Assistant Manager for River and Plateau (AMRP) with focus on environmental regulatory compliance, waste management, and groundwater remediation; support project controls and engineering consulting as applicable.
  • Develop CERCLA documentation and support strategic and baseline planning for regulatory adherence; conduct site assessments and facilitate effective communication across organizational levels.
  • Produce regulator-ready compliance packages and support regulatory decision documentation.
  • Engage with regulators and stakeholders to ensure regulatory adherence and facilitate project execution under the Hanford Field Office General Support Services.
  • Perform fieldwork activities with appropriate personal protective equipment as required.

  • DOE experience is helpful
  • Fieldwork with personal protective equipment (PPE) required is listed as a condition in ancillary details but can be considered desirable for some roles
  • Experience with DOE Environmental Management programs or similar regulatory environments
