- A minimum of five years of prior drafting experience.
- Qualification at AutoCAD Drafter Level III or higher.
- Experience with computer-aided design tools such as MicroStation, AutoCAD, or other similar tools designated by the customer.

- Create, modify, and review AutoCAD drawings for correctness and completeness.
- Create and modify AutoCAD drawings in accordance with the MSC Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drawing standard and MSC General Technical Requirements.
- Develop and update drawings by incorporating sketches, similar drawings, and pictures provided by engineers.
- Convert raster drawings to vector drawings.
- Create 2D and 3D drawings and renderings as needed.
- Accompany engineers aboard vessels for ship checks to help develop drawings.
