Requirements
  • Master’s degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Psychology, or related field
  • Minimum 10+ years in executive coaching
  • Advanced certification (ICF-PCC or MCC preferred)
Responsibilities
  • Lead executive coaching engagements; develop strategic thinking, influence, and decision-making capabilities; conduct assessments and performance reviews; build high-trust relationships.
  • Identify key stakeholders to provide input on the client’s leadership skills and challenges through confidential one-on-one interviews.
  • Define goals, expectations, and outcomes of the coaching engagement with the client.
  • Build the client’s vision for themselves and their team by assessing the team, identifying strengths and development areas, and pinpointing what is needed for higher performance and long-term growth.
  • Ensure goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound and tailored to clients’ needs and organizational priorities.
  • Prepare and support dissemination of the client’s development plan to appropriate staff to improve leadership impact.
  • Provide the client with input and data to identify strengths and developmental opportunities.
  • Develop strategies to ensure awareness of deliberate practice and performance improvement, focusing on decision-making, strategic thinking, and influencing others.
  • Create space for strategic thinking in a structured environment to prioritize what truly matters.
  • Develop decision-making frameworks to guide complex decisions under pressure, identifying core values and strategic priorities.
  • Build trust by fostering open communication and empathetic leadership with stakeholders and direct reports.
  • Identify challenges or opportunities and develop action plans, guiding implementation and providing feedback.
  • Leverage client strengths and address weaknesses to improve effectiveness.
  • Measure and report results at executive level including improvements in leadership skills, confidence, presence, business results, ability to persuade/influence/ negotiate, voice/visibility, authority/credibility, organizational awareness, and development plan completion.
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced certification (ICF-PCC or MCC preferred)
  • Experience with DOE/National Lab environment preferred
  • Experience coaching across diverse, high-security environments
  • Comfort with virtual and in-person executive sessions and psychometric tools
  • Experience engaging C-suite and director-level talent; supports organizational culture transformation and succession planning
  • One-on-one coaching progress measurement including stakeholder interviews and feedback processes
  • Coaching conducted via in-person or telecommunication; scheduling around milestone events; unlimited email communication
  • Security clearance requirements for engagements in federal marketplace (as applicable)
  • Ability to conduct coaching using existing assessments, performance reviews, and other relevant documentation
  • Travel flexibility and remote work arrangements as needed
