About the company

Antler is a global early-stage venture capital firm that supports founders from day zero. It runs a 12-week program where aspiring entrepreneurs form teams, validate ideas, and develop viable business models through lectures, workshops, sprints, and coaching, with teams pitching to an Investment Committee for funding. The company earns returns by investing in the startups and taking equity stakes. What makes Antler different is its structured, end-to-end approach that helps founders build teams and rigorously validate concepts before seeking investment, rather than simply providing capital. It also has a strong regional focus in Australia, notably Queensland, where it collaborates with the Queensland Investment Corporation and the Queensland Government's venture fund to close the early-stage funding gap and boost local innovation.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • January 2026 closed $510 million funds, including a second U.S. fund and capital for expansion.
  • August 2026 Lovable raised $400 million, validating Antler’s breakout-company factory.
  • Antler expanded Australia with Queensland-backed residencies and fresh 2026 deal flow.

What critics are saying

  • Lovable’s $13.3 billion breakout concentrates returns around a tiny winner set, not broad consistency.
  • AI-native accelerators and direct seed funds commoditize Antler’s founder-matching edge by 2027.
  • If residency conversion weakens, Antler becomes a high-volume talent screen with no durable moat.

What makes Antler unique

  • Antler backs founders at inception, then selects teams through structured residencies and committees.
  • January 2026 fund closes gave Antler $510 million across the U.S., Europe, and Asia.
  • Antler’s platform spans 1,800 investments and a global network across six continents.

Souk lands $1.6M to reactivate dormant B2B partnerships with AI agent Coco

UK-based B2B software startup Souk has raised $1.6 million in pre-seed funding to develop its AI-powered partner management platform. Sure Valley Ventures led the round, with participation from Antler, Fuel Ventures and strategic angels. Founded in July 2025, Souk targets companies that manage partner relationships through spreadsheets and email. The platform centres on Coco, an autonomous AI agent handling tasks across the partnership lifecycle, including sourcing, engagement, performance monitoring and payouts. Souk says companies often focus on recruiting new partners whilst existing relationships become inactive. Early deployments of Coco have identified partnerships with potential seven-figure sales pipelines and secured contracts with several unicorn companies. The funding will support product development, focusing on Coco's core architecture.
