Requirements
  • Proficiency in MIG (Push-Pull) welding is required; pulse welding experience is preferred.
  • Two to three years of previous experience in welding and fabrication of aluminum products is required.
  • Ability to safely operate saws, grinders, drills, and other power tools is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints or drawings and understand work-order specifications is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to maintain a safe work environment is required.
  • Ability to work independently or with others to achieve a common goal is required.
  • Ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and follow direction with minimal supervision is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Ability to perform regular periods of continuous physical effort, including walking, standing, stooping, climbing, and lifting material or equipment, is required.
  • Ability to work in conditions involving temperature variations, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, toxic materials, and high noise levels is required.
  • Ability to give concentrated attention to work being performed and meet deadlines and accuracy demands is required.
Responsibilities
  • Perform MIG aluminum welding and construct hulls and vessels.
  • Fabricate components by fitting pre-cut parts.
  • Prepare components for welding.
  • Sub-assemble parts, including welding.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to reduce or remove hazards.
  • Follow applicable EagleCraft Boats and WorkSafeBC occupational health and safety regulations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Pulse welding experience.
  • Ability to read blueprints or drawings and understand work-order specifications.
