About the Job

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing operations, supply chain, or lean/operations excellence roles.
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, including value stream mapping, takt time, line balancing, and standard work.
  • Hands-on experience with discrete-event simulation or business/process simulation tools such as AnyLogic, FlexSim, Arena, or Simio.
  • Experience with data cleaning and statistical analysis, including t-testing, ANOVA, and regression.
  • Basic knowledge of Java.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate operational data into quantitative models and business recommendations.
  • Experience supporting Greenfield site design, Brownfield capacity or efficiency projects, or automation business-case validation.
  • Strong data analysis skills for converting production or operational data into model inputs.
  • Ability to communicate complex, stochastic simulation results clearly and objectively to non-technical or executive stakeholders.
  • Comfort working directly with plant or site teams to gather ground-truth process data.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a builder's mindset, with an interest in creating new modeling approaches and simulation capabilities in a developing function.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-fidelity simulations that replicate complex business environments, including supply chains, operational workflows, and market or demand shifts, grounded in a detailed understanding of current-state operations.
  • Use models to stress-test initiatives, quantify risk, and project the impact of variables such as resource constraints, OEE drift, or economic fluctuations.
  • Convert raw, stochastic simulation outputs into clear, objective, decision-ready recommendations for executives and program leadership.
  • Support the lean transformation roadmap by validating process and capacity scenarios ahead of investment decisions.
  • Build business cases for capital investment in headcount, layout, or capacity using simulation-validated data.
  • Support Kaizens and continuous improvement projects with scenario modeling, what-if analysis, and efficiency recommendations.
  • Validate and refine models iteratively against real production data to maintain accuracy over time.
