  • At least 3 years of experience following a structured and disciplined sales process, including methodologies, processes, and artifacts scaled to deal size and volume.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a high-volume, multi-deal pipeline with at least 10 concurrent opportunities, disciplined customer relationship management hygiene, and accurate forecasting.
  • Proven outbound prospecting ability, including hands-on experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or an equivalent, to build and sustain top-of-funnel pipeline volume.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interpersonal facilitation and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, project management skills and focus, advocacy skills to drive wins, and the ability to manage by influence.
  • Strong organizational skills, initiative, and commitment to high-quality work.

Responsibilities
  • Communicate the value and components of ICF’s core solution set for energy investors and developers.
  • Learn and apply ICF’s business development processes and tiered pursuit framework, using lightweight qualification and win planning for standard, high-volume opportunities and the full capture process for strategic or large pursuits.
  • Develop relationships with key business partners across the Energy & Digital Infrastructure Development and Investment line of business, within the business development team, across ICF’s four operating groups, and within the corporate center of excellence.
  • Partner with delivery teams to create targeted pipelines of new energy developers, investors, and contacts; offer services and begin qualifying leads.
  • Partner with delivery teams to identify expansion opportunities with existing clients.
  • Develop a qualified pipeline of at least $6 million, representing approximately 50 or more qualified opportunities.
  • Manage 10–15 concurrent pursuits. For standard opportunities generally under $250,000, own qualification and pipeline coordination while partnering with seller-doers on discovery and proposal development; for strategic or large pursuits, lead the full sales lifecycle from qualification through proposal creation and follow-up after technology demonstrations when applicable.
  • Apply a lightweight qualification and win-plan checklist to standard, high-volume opportunities and document a full win strategy for strategic or large pursuits.
  • Participate in pipeline reviews, forecasting, gate reviews for large or strategic pursuits, and proposal reviews; maintain disciplined customer relationship management records to support accurate deal-count, win-rate, and cycle-time reporting.
  • Coach and enable seller-doers to independently qualify and triage opportunities at volume using BANT methodology, and maintain existing client relationships to foster growth opportunities.
  • Track pipeline throughput, including win rate, average sales cycle length, and monthly qualified opportunities added, alongside dollar-based pipeline and sales targets.
  • Achieve $3 million in sales, sustained through a steady-state cadence of at least three closed deals per month.
  • Engage in and contribute to strategy development and business planning.
  • Coordinate with subject matter experts and the marketing team to develop thought leadership, targeted campaigns, and social media activity.
