About the job
- Currently hold a Class A commercial driver's license with hazardous materials endorsements.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Have a Class A license.
- Have 1-2 years of trucking experience with manual transmission.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have excellent knowledge of ramp operations.
- Have strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Have leadership ability, customer focus, and quality awareness.
- Be able to deal with conflict.
- Pass a drug test and background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance.
- Be able to lift up to 70 pounds in confined spaces.
- Be able to stand, lift, bend, push, and pull for extended periods.
- Be willing to work outside in all types of weather and elevated noise levels within the airport environment.
- Be able to work flexible schedules across three operational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as operational demands require.
- Transport cargo via a 53-foot trailer from various types of aircraft to a warehouse or from a warehouse to an aircraft while adhering to strict safety regulations.
- Interact with airline representatives and staff while providing customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
