- Two years of medical and surgical skills or other occupational health experience are required.
- A degree from an LPN nursing program is required.
- A current New Jersey Licensed Practical Nurse license is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
- Prepare patients for providers and assist with examinations.
- Assist providers with suture preparation.
- Carry out provider orders, including supplying materials, arranging tests and X-rays, and dispensing medications.
- Conduct health assessments and prepare patients for physical examinations.
- Calibrate clinical equipment.
- Perform podiatric, respiratory approval, spirometry, audiogram, electrocardiogram, drug, Timms, breath alcohol, saliva alcohol, and venipuncture testing.
- Review physical and test results with the provider.
- Handle phone calls involving case management and testing or physical results.
