About the job
- Two or more years of residential solar roof installation experience or education/training is preferred.
- Working knowledge of solar systems and basic electrical components is preferred.
- Ability to safely operate power tools and hand tools.
- Experience handling ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, lumber, and roofing materials.
- Ability to lift 40–50 pounds frequently throughout the day.
- Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions and on two- and three-story residential roofs.
- Ability to work as part of a team to install and properly seal roof attachments, racking supports, and solar panels.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Ability to obtain DOT certification.
- Verify truck inventory against project plans and the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Professionally interact with homeowners and team members.
- Identify and work with various racking systems and components.
- Prepare and install solar panels efficiently and securely.
- Safely transport materials from the ground to the roof multiple times per day.
- Work on roofs of various types and pitches.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site and company vehicle.
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols.
- Assist with troubleshooting and other onsite installation tasks as needed.
- Safely use ladders and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
