Requirements
  • Ten or more years of progressive technology leadership experience, including five or more years in a senior executive or enterprise technology leadership role.
  • Experience in a credit union, bank, financial services, or other highly regulated environment is strongly preferred.
  • Proven experience developing and executing enterprise technology strategies, leading transformation initiatives, managing technology investments, and evaluating emerging technologies.
  • A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze data and read and create reports using numerous software platforms.
  • Advanced understanding of credit union products and services, as well as competitor and potential products and services.
  • Ability to understand business needs, align them with the strategic roadmap, and integrate, coordinate, and facilitate complex resources in a fast-paced, agile format.
  • Excellent supervisory skills, with the ability to delegate some supervisory functions.
  • Ability to deliver professional presentations and maintain a calm demeanor under potentially stressful circumstances.
  • Strong project management skills, including managing multi-departmental initiatives that may require significant investment of resources in learning new data analytics techniques and procedures.
  • Ability to gain buy-in and drive completion of projects affecting multiple areas of the organization.
  • Ability to use discretion when sharing information and maintain the highest degree of confidentiality as required by law or organizational policy.
  • Ability to travel independently, occasionally overnight.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, network infrastructure and design, and general systems administration.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute Alabama Credit Union's technology strategy in alignment with its strategic plan, business objectives, and member needs.
  • Lead the technology department through a team of senior technology leaders, providing strategic direction, accountability, and leadership across core banking technology, enterprise applications, network and infrastructure, data management, automation and robotic process automation, information technology operations, project management, and technology services.
  • Ensure the credit union maintains a secure, reliable, scalable, resilient, and innovative technology environment that enables member experiences, operational efficiency, business growth, and organizational agility.
  • Serve as a strategic technology advisor to the chief executive officer, strategic leadership team, and board of directors, translating business priorities into technology strategies, investments, and solutions that create measurable value.
  • Partner across the organization with Digital Services, Operations, Marketing, Risk, Compliance, Lending, Finance, and other business functions to ensure technology supports an integrated and secure experience for members and team members.
