Responsibilities
  • Advise executive leadership and the Board on corporate governance, risk management, and compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, especially those related to digital platforms and intellectual property
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and support the company’s long-term strategic goals
  • Oversee the drafting, reviewing, and negotiating of all company contracts, including vendor agreements, partnership contracts, and licensing deals
  • Ensure contracts are in alignment with business objectives and adhere to legal and regulatory standards
  • Manage and maintain the company’s contract lifecycle and document management systems
  • Oversee the protection and enforcement of the company’s intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets
  • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency and compliance with IP laws
  • Lead efforts to prevent and manage infringement cases and brand protection challenges
  • Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, HR policies, and benefits compliance
  • Work closely with HR to ensure compliance with employment laws, and support efforts to create an inclusive and equitable work environment
  • Guide company-wide training on legal compliance, ethics, and regulatory standards
  • Identify, assess, and manage potential legal risks to the business
  • Handle and coordinate any litigation matters or external legal proceedings, including managing outside counsel when necessary
  • Lead crisis management efforts and develop policies to minimize legal exposure in high-stakes scenarios
