About the job

Requirements
  • At least 8 years of experience in HSEQ, HSSE, or Quality Assurance within solar, electrical, construction, or highly technical field service environments, including hands-on program writing, site auditing, and investigations.
  • Experience reporting HSEQ performance to senior leadership and influencing senior leaders.
  • A proven track record of personally developing and implementing quality assurance programs, workmanship standards, and training for distributed field forces.
  • Strong working knowledge of US electrical codes and OSHA standards, and the ability to learn, apply, and audit international regulatory frameworks such as Australia's.
  • Experience conducting root-cause analysis for safety incidents and complex technical or workmanship failures.
  • Experience extracting field service management data and building dashboards to report performance trends such as callbacks and compliance scores.
Responsibilities
  • Build, implement, and maintain a unified Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality program covering worker safety, job-site practices, personal protective equipment, working at heights, electrical and battery safety, and environmental considerations across jurisdictions.
  • Write standardized technical requirements for solar and storage repairs and build post-repair validation processes to confirm work is structurally sound, electrically compliant, and addresses the system failure's root cause.
  • Conduct site audits, ride-alongs, and spot checks with Direct Technicians and Field Service Partners across regions.
  • Build and operate the Field Service Partner safety and quality scorecard, onboarding requirements, Stop-Work Authority, and Quality Correction protocols; work with underperforming partners on corrective action.
  • Lead root-cause analyses of safety incidents and field failures, drive corrective and preventive actions through closure, and update standards and training to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure field activities and workmanship meet local building codes, electrical standards, and national regulations, including OSHA and NEC in the US and Safe Work Australia and AS/NZS 3000 in Australia.
  • Build and maintain an audit-ready library of HSE policies, quality assurance checklists, standard operating procedures, and technical repair instructions; support Legal and Client Success on master service agreement safety exhibits and quality service-level agreements.
  • Build Field Service Management dashboards and report on leading and lagging safety indicators, First-Time Fix Rate, dispatch callbacks, and customer satisfaction/net promoter score; use data to move from reactive troubleshooting to preventive risk and quality management.
  • Define professional conduct, communication, and on-site behavior standards for technicians and audit customer touchpoints to improve them.
  • Partner with Operations, Partner Management, Legal, and Client Success to integrate safety and quality into day-to-day operations and service-delivery workflows.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience as the first or only HSEQ leader in a growing business, building the function from scratch.
  • Lean, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, ISO 9001, or ISO 45001 certification.
  • Deep understanding of residential and commercial photovoltaic systems, inverter troubleshooting, and energy storage systems; a trade licence or electrical qualification is highly regarded.
  • Experience managing and scoring quality, service-level agreements, and safety compliance across a large third-party partner network.
  • Experience scaling HSEQ frameworks as an organization expands from one country to a global, multi-market service provider.

About the company

Omnidian provides maintenance and performance assurance for solar energy systems, serving homeowners, business owners, and large portfolio owners. Its core offering is a 24/7 remote monitoring service that delivers real-time diagnostics from its Seattle Operations Center; when a system underperforms, the team notifies the installer and coordinates repairs. The company differentiates itself through proactive monitoring, a strong energy guarantee, and deep integrations with billing partners, service networks, CRM systems, and monitoring platforms to manage large-scale portfolios. Its goal is to maximize solar energy production and provide financial peace of mind by reducing downtime and shifting performance risk from investors to Omnidian.

Omnidian celebrates 10 years of delivering PV & BESS portfolio assurance for clean energy investors, owners, and IPPs.

Omnidian celebrates 10 years of delivering PV & BESS portfolio assurance for clean energy investors, owners, and IPPs. The performance assurance company marks its tenth anniversary with a global client base spanning C&I & Resi, managing over 6 GW of PV & servicing 3+ GWh of BESS SEATTLE, WA, UNITED STATES, October 15, 2026 / EINPresswire.com / - Omnidian this month marked ten years of delivering certainty on distributed energy asset production and financial performance for their rapidly growing client base. The company, founded in 2016, has now provided performance assurance for many of the largest global clean energy investors and has served more than half of the largest distributed generation (DG) independent power producers (IPPs) in the United States, along with supporting corporate asset owners and investors that feature amongst the 100 largest organizations in the U.S. "When we started in 2016, the industry's only answer to asset performance was better visibility," said Mark Liffmann, CEO & Co-Founder of Omnidian. "Data without meaning doesn't ensure system production and asset IRR. Someone has to be on the hook with shared ownership of success or failure. Ten years later, the reason many of the largest owners and operators of DG solar and storage in America trust their portfolios to Omnidian isn't that we see more; it's that when an asset stops producing, we contractually own the outcome and rapid remediation balanced against OpEx strategy." Ten years of data and intelligence Omnidian today employs nearly 500 geographically diverse industry experts, who combined throughout their careers have 1,100+ years of solar experience and 500+ years of battery storage (BESS) experience. Currently the team oversees 6+ GW of DG solar assets and has serviced or managed another 3+ GWh of battery storage on behalf of some of the largest, most sophisticated clean energy investors and operators. Over its first decade the company has: - Operated continuously through ITC step-downs, tariff actions, supply chain disruption, the IRA, OBBBA, and a full rate cycle - Maintained service continuity through 20+ developer and installer bankruptcies, adopting 100,000+ orphaned systems while delivering on customer support and portfolio value - Ingested over 1.7 million asset years of data into their purpose-built technology solution Resolv(TM) The company was direct around these records' caveats: "Ten years in this industry means ten years of hard-won lessons about how renewable energy assets, portfolios, and providers actually fail," said Raymond Szylko, CSO and Co-Founder of Omnidian. "Many in this industry have been victims of the 'solarcoaster,' which is why we're proud to stand strong ten years down the line. That decade of accumulated failure data is the unique asset that helps us plan for the next ten years, and it's the reason we can price risk that nascent providers can only describe." Extending the model to commercial battery storage Alongside the anniversary, Omnidian announced an end-to-end technical asset management solution for commercial battery energy storage systems, featuring proactive AI-powered monitoring and remote issue identification, OEM-agnostic O&M, and financial reporting built for the same buyer set: corporate owners, developers, IPPs, and investors who need a single accountable party across the asset lifecycle rather than a set of stitched-together vendors. The commercial BESS solution includes a software / hardware EMS+ partnership, and includes: - Continuous performance monitoring and diagnostics at the component level - Availability and dispatch-readiness visibility across all major OEMs - Field service execution, warranty management, and remediation ownership - Lifecycle and degradation modeling and planning support - Investor-grade reporting side by side with PV assets - And coming soon in early 2027: contractual performance and availability guarantees "We are always looking towards the future needs of our clients, and unified support across battery storage and PV was critical," said David Kenny, CBIO and Co-Founder of Omnidian. "Asia Pacific Herald has been diligently developing and piloting its commercial-scale BESS solution for the last few years, while driving immense learnings from the hundreds of thousands of residential battery assets Asia Pacific Herald has managed or serviced worldwide. Asia Pacific Herald want to make owning and operating solar and storage assets as simple as possible for its busy clients, who shouldn't have to reconcile two sets of numbers across multiple systems before they can answer a single question from their lender. Storage is where that connection between operation and ROI breaks down fastest: the detail that determines whether a battery earns its model is not visible in a quarterly report or static dashboards; it requires a single pane of glass solution from a sole dedicated technology-enabled service partner." Available Now The commercial BESS asset management and O&M solution is now available to all DG-scale CC&I operators, owners, and investors in North America. Omnidian will host meetings to support the offering at RE+ 2026 in Las Vegas, Nov 16-19. Executives interested in a briefing can request a consultation at www.omnidian.com/meet-up About Omnidian Omnidian delivers performance assurance for 6+ GW of distributed solar and 3+ GWh of battery storage on behalf of many of the largest renewable energy investors worldwide.
