Requirements
  • At least 10 years of experience in product marketing, product marketing operations, marketing operations, product operations, go-to-market operations, or a closely related discipline, including ownership of complex cross-functional programs in a technology or digital-product environment.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and leading launch or commercialization operating models across multiple products, teams, or audiences, including tiering, readiness, milestones, dependencies, risk management, and post-launch learning.
  • Working knowledge of Product Marketing fundamentals, including positioning, messaging, audiences, go-to-market planning, launch strategy, and the lifecycle of customer- and seller-facing assets, with judgment to distinguish workflow gaps from unresolved strategy or quality issues.
  • Track record of influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority, clarifying decision rights, resolving competing priorities, and sustaining behavior or process change across functions.
  • Experience building a new operating capability or materially redesigning an existing one, with judgment to identify a small number of high-priority changes and the ability to execute them hands-on.
  • Experience synthesizing complex inputs into concise recommendations, decision materials, operating plans, and executive updates.
  • Experience using data, retrospectives, and responsible artificial intelligence or automation practices to improve recurring workflows, with clear human review, risk awareness, and accountability for final decisions.
Responsibilities
  • Build, operate, and continuously improve the Product Marketing operating model across team planning, portfolio and roadmap visibility, foundational content systems, launch governance, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Establish the lifecycle for messaging, positioning, and related Product Marketing foundations, including templates, inventories, accountable owners, review and sign-off, refresh cadences, quality standards, and a discoverable source of truth.
  • Create and maintain a consolidated product roadmap that connects product direction to customer-facing roadmap inputs, release and launch planning, campaign and communications needs, sales and channel enablement, and other downstream go-to-market dependencies.
  • Own the Product Marketing-side launch strategy and governance system, including intake, launch classification and tiering recommendations, required strategic inputs, Product Marketing readiness criteria, decision forums, escalation paths, handoff to marketing partners, and post-launch learning.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, Integrated Marketing, Product, Communications, Sales, Customer Success, Enablement, and program-management teams to codify roles, decision rights, required inputs, and handoffs, then steward adoption and surface gaps or exceptions for leadership resolution.
  • Build scalable templates, reporting, knowledge systems, and responsible artificial-intelligence- or automation-enabled workflows; establish measures of adoption and effectiveness; and simplify or retire processes that do not create sufficient value.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience building or materially redesigning a Product Marketing, Marketing, Product, or go-to-market operating capability from an early stage or following an organizational integration.
  • Experience in a multi-product, multi-audience, product-led and/or sales-assisted software-as-a-service business.
  • Experience establishing messaging and positioning governance, content lifecycle management, knowledge-management systems, or reusable product and solution playbooks.
  • Experience supporting complex launches, migrations, deprecations, packaging or pricing changes, application programming interfaces, or other customer-impacting product transitions.

Dropbox new co-CEO vows to maintain remote-first policy despite industry RTO mandates

Dropbox is maintaining its remote-first work model under new leadership, according to incoming sole CEO Ashraf Alkarmi. The cloud storage company adopted its "virtual-first" policy in 2021, focusing on workforce flexibility. Alkarmi, who joined Dropbox in 2024 and became co-CEO in May alongside founder Drew Houston, called the structure an "incredible model". He told Business Insider that "flexibility and autonomy are the ultimate currency in modern work". The company reports significant benefits from the policy. Applications per job were nearly seven times higher in 2025 than before virtual-first implementation. Dropbox has also seen its highest offer acceptance rates and lowest attrition rates under the model. Additionally, 74% of new hires in 2026 cited virtual-first work as a reason for joining. The policy includes in-person gatherings like annual hack weeks and leadership off-sites to maintain team connections.

Dropbox co-CEOs use keyword 'final' to resolve workplace disagreements

Dropbox co-CEO Ashraf Alkarmi has shared how he and co-founder Drew Houston resolve workplace disagreements using a specific keyword system. Alkarmi, who joined Dropbox in 2024 and became co-CEO in May, said he continues challenging ideas until Houston uses the word "final" to signal a decision has been made. Until then, the discussion remains open for debate. The approach builds on trust, data-driven arguments, and radical candour. Alkarmi emphasised the importance of backing perspectives with clear reasoning and communicating directly rather than passive-aggressively. Once Houston makes the final call, Alkarmi fully commits to the decision, embracing Jeff Bezos's "disagree and commit" philosophy. "Whether it works or not, it's not his opinion or my opinion. It's what we both fundamentally actually ended up agreeing on," Alkarmi said. Alkarmi will eventually become Dropbox's sole CEO.
