Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing or processing operations in progressively responsible positions, or a Bachelor's Degree in Poultry Science, Animal Science, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Responsibilities
  • Direct production team members by planning and assigning their work.
  • Administer and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices, Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points policies and procedures.
  • Recommend improvements in production methods while maintaining safe and sanitary working conditions.
  • Meet product standards while maintaining or improving product yield.
  • Ensure a safe work environment and address issues on the production lines.
  • Complete appropriate paperwork daily.
  • Train and develop employees in areas related to their jobs.
  • Continuously manage and improve products and processes.
  • Help develop objectives and standards for individual production lines and monitor results for process improvements.
  • Observe work areas and the plant to ensure known hazards are reported or corrected, and ensure safety reporting and accident investigations are handled in a timely manner.
