Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in tax related position
  • 2+ year of public accounting experience with national or Big 4 firm preferred
  • Enrolled Agent, CPA
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Responsibilities
  • Maintain a comprehensive tax calendar for income taxes, sales tax, property tax, and various business license filings.
  • Conduct assessments of US sales tax nexus and propose new registrations when thresholds are met.
  • Evaluate international sales tax nexus, proposing new VAT/GST registrations as needed.
  • Conduct research on tax exposure to support business expansion into new countries.
  • Provide supporting documents to tax consultants, including monthly sales tax support and quarterly/annual income tax support.
  • Review deliverables from tax consultants to uphold a timely tax calendar.
  • Prepare calculations for personal property tax files, business licenses, and other local tax filings.
  • Assist in gathering information for audit requests from taxing authorities.
  • Update product tax codes in the ERP system.
  • Maintain a comprehensive tax payment listing and reconcile tax payable/receivable.
  • Organize and distribute tax-related mail scanned from the treasury mailbox.
  • Communicate with internal teams and stakeholders regarding tax matters.
  • Provide updates on changes in tax laws or regulations.
  • Support the treasury team on ad hoc tasks and other related projects.
