TECHNICAL CHARACTER ANIMATION INTERN

What You’ll Do

We are a new and growing team at Epic, aiming to build innovative new experiences and technology as part of our collaboration with Disney. As a Technical Character Art Intern, you will be joining a tightly-knit team of veterans from film and games to create pioneering real-time work and drive the quality bar within Epic and throughout the industry. If you eat challenges for breakfast, this is for you!

In this role, you will

Create, assemble, and maintain real-time characters in Unreal Engine
Work with Unreal Engine’s character creation and animation pipeline
Collaborate with multiple teams from character artists, animators, and technical artists

What we’re looking for

Portfolio showcasing artistic and technical aptitude
Knowledge of character workflow including modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation
Experience integrating characters in Unreal Engine
Skilled in 3D content creation programs like Maya, and Zbrush
Highly motivated individual with a passion for problem-solving
Basic blueprints and/or Python scripting is a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills

This internship has a flexible start date in 2025. Recruitment will be ongoing until teams find an ideal match.
