Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Basic computer skills are required.
  • The ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, carry, push, stoop, bend, reach above shoulder level, perceive attributes through touch, hear normal conversation and high/low frequencies, and see general, near, far, color, and peripheral vision is required.
  • The ability to transport patients weighing up to 250 pounds via wheelchair, bed, or stretcher is required.
Responsibilities
  • Collect and update patient demographic and insurance information and complete patient registration in Epic and Systoc.
  • Assess patient acuity in waiting areas, escort patients to exam rooms, gather medical history, obtain vital signs, and prepare patients and rooms with necessary instruments and equipment.
  • Schedule patients for advanced care, workers’ compensation follow-ups, and other clinical services.
  • Perform point-of-care testing according to protocol and clean, calibrate, and maintain equipment and exam rooms.
  • Perform Reasonable Suspicion Drug and Alcohol Testing for Fit for Duty while following chain-of-custody protocols for urine, saliva, hair, breath, and blood specimens.
  • Assist nursing staff and providers in delivering patient-centered care.
  • Maintain confidentiality and properly release information.
  • Follow network and departmental policies regarding employee, patient, and environmental safety, including reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrate performance improvement in clinical care and outcomes, customer and service improvement, operational systems and processes, and safety.
  • Use resources effectively and efficiently in daily procedures, processes, and practices.
  • Follow network and departmental attendance and dress-code policies.
  • Apply competency in patient assessment, treatment range, growth and development, and age-appropriate communication.
  • Assist other Care Now locations in the area as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Medical terminology knowledge is a plus.
