An active Registered Nurse license in Kentucky is required.
Relevant knowledge, training, and experience are required.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
Responsibilities
Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with patient care as part of medication management and with developing service plans based on assessment data.
Assist physicians and nurse practitioners with hospital discharge clinics for medication assessments and prescribing as indicated by patients' presenting issues.
Conduct routine screenings to identify the need for additional therapeutic and physical health services.
Provide consultation to other staff as indicated.
Complete quality documentation of services, including service plans, progress notes, medication informed consent, treatment plan reviews, and other information required for compliance with organizational policies and third-party standards.
Ensure patients are seen routinely before providing medication refills.
Adhere to appropriate standards of care.
Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in monitoring caseload individuals for changes or decline in mental status or medical conditions.
Collaborate with other staff members to promote quality patient care.
Participate in interdisciplinary team communications.
Handle medication orders and medications according to policies, relevant state regulations, and quality standards.
Ensure appropriate communication with internal and external professionals for effective delivery of quality patient care.
Desired Qualifications
Psychiatric nursing experience is preferred but not required.
NorthKey Community Care is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Nurse RN to engage and assist in the care of behavioral health clients in an outpatient setting. This position will split a schedule between two offices (Falmouth and Williamstown).Work hours are generally Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
